HAVE YOU EVER FANCIED JUMPING OUT OF A PLANE????

There will be a parachute jump as part of the fundraising for the ‘Ambulance to Mongolia’. The 2 lads organising this Mongolia trip have so far got 11 students to do a sponsored jump. The total cost is £300 which is split £150 for the plane etc and £150 towards the cost of the Mongolia bash.

I have agreed to be one of the main sponsors and then instantly thought of a few names of people at Cable Street as ideal candidates to ‘jump for charity’!! If we can get say just 10 more names that would raise £1500 towards the total costs. We could then have a Cable Street Outing to watch and maybe followed by a few drinks afterwards?

So please let me know john@lpnetwork.co.uk if you want to take advantage of this chance of lifetime, have a good laugh, and in the meantime raise a load of cash for a good cause.

3 out 5 of Flat 46 have already agreed and I would have thought that maybe the Medics, Rowers, Footballers could persuade at least another 7 and or maybe after a few drinks tonight you may drunkenly agree that your whole flat would do it? I am also sure that you could ‘persuade’ certain Cable Street individuals on Face Book to enter.

I will be sending round more info in the next week but in the meantime please get back to me asap as I’m sure we can have a lot of fun with this.

Cheers John

JINGLE BLOODY BELLS 2007

Time to start dressing up your flats and or windows to get into the Christmas spirit. Last year 22 out of 55 flats entered with the result of prizes galore (booze of course!) to loads of winners. However there is no point in trying to win the first prize as the office is going to win that. Sam has already started hammering and drilling by the office and will continue to do so on Saturday between 10.00 am and 2.00pm. So if you are woken up tomorrow morning by drilling noises ….. tough the decorations are far important than you sleeping off a hangover!!! The judging, by someone totally independent, will take place on Thursday 6 December from 5.00 pm onwards.

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS SWITCH ON

If Lancaster and other towns can have a grand switching on ceremony so can we!! There will be an announcement early next week.

EXTRA SPECIAL OFFICE GOODIES

From Monday 3 December there will be hot mulled wine and mince pies and other festive fayre in the office. So if you come into to collect a parcel or do some printing you might well end up leaving rather the worse for wear!!

PARTY TIME

The grand Christmas party is on SATURDAY 8 DECEMBER AT xxxxxxxxxxxx The fire alarms will go off at 8.30 pm following which we will all proceed to wherever we are going!! In true Christmas spirit it will be FANCY DRESS – anything goes with loads of prizes (more booze!!) for the winners plus spot prizes etc as the evening progresses!! In true Cable Street style and spirit there will of course be the traditional FREE BAR! Various clues as to where we are going will follow but we are NOT going to the Sugarhouse.

OFFICE SHUT DOWN

The office will close at 4.00 pm on Wednesday 19 December so that we have plenty of time to get ready for our very special staff Christmas party at KFC. (No money left after the main party on 8 December!!). We will re-open again on Thursday 3 January 2008.
